Understanding REACH
The EU Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) Regulation addresses chemical risks and supply-chain communication. Candidate List substances of very high concern (SVHCs) can trigger information and notification duties when present in an article above applicable thresholds.
Our role in the supply chain
As an electronic component distributor, CXDA relies on manufacturers and suppliers for substance, article, and safety information. We pass through available part-specific declarations and do not replace the manufacturer’s technical or regulatory assessment.
SVHC information
For articles containing a Candidate List SVHC above 0.1% weight by weight, REACH may require sufficient information to support safe use. The Candidate List is updated over time, so every request should identify the relevant list date or customer requirement.
How to request documentation
- Provide the full manufacturer part number and required quantity.
- State the destination market and the Candidate List date or reporting format required.
- Identify whether you need a declaration, substance statement, or supplier contact follow-up.
Our team will confirm what information is available for the quoted part before an order is finalised.
Important limitation
Customers remain responsible for assessing the compliance obligations that apply to their finished products, imports, and intended use. Supplier information may change when a part, material, or Candidate List is updated.
